In addition to leading community-focused tours through Azerbaijan’s mountains and villages, Camping Azerbaijan runs various impactful projects, many of which have evolved into dedicated branches. Kandabad, founded in 2017, passionately uplifts remote and mountainous communities through heartwarming initiatives like Santa Claus in Remote Villages and School Bus in Remote Villages. Ecofront, founded in 2018, is an eco-activist group that raises awareness about Azerbaijan’s biodiversity and the effects of the climate crisis. The group actively campaigns against illegal deforestation and degradation of natural areas. Birdwatching Azerbaijan, launched in 2019, is dedicated to preserving the country’s ornithological richness, fighting illegal hunting practices, and organizing birding tours to showcase Azerbaijan as a destination for nature enthusiasts.
Since 2015, the aim of this project has been to bring joy to children in remote mountain regions during Christmas. Dressed as Santa and his team, we deliver gifts while trekking from one mountain village to another. Another key goal is to promote winter hiking and ecotourism.
